In the United States, we have been exposed to a variety of different clinical settings. I have been placed in Shand's Rehab, The VA, a pediatric rotation at Shand's, and a labor and delivery rotation at North Florida Hospital. A major part of assimilating to the various floors is learning how to work the technology and the computer systems. This was something that we did not have to worry about in Grenada, since everything is done on paper there. Although the computers and technologies are beneficial, learning how they work can sometimes take away from our patient interactions. I felt that going to Grenada allowed me to focus on the patient care aspect more, and I have strived to bring that back to the United States and incorporate it into our technological world.
